IS IT FRIDAY ALREADY?

where do the days go?

i've observed this neat little phenomenon called "when-you-are-busy-and-love-what-you-do-and-can't-wait-to-get-out-of-bed-and-do-it-again-the-next-day" the weeks just sail by. in my old life (and my old advertising career) sometimes it felt like the weeks just draaaaagged by. (it's only tuesday? really? are you sure? i could have sworn i have been working for TWO MONTHS STRAIGHT). 

it's different when you own your own small business. and all the old cliches you hear about working harder than you ever worked "for the man" are true. but the major difference is that if i have to stay up 'til 3 AM working on a custom invitation or cutting out a bajillion hang tags for guest favors, i truly do it with a smile on my face. and that is a liberating thing. 

working hard for your own success will always always always beat out working hard for someone else's. that, my bloggy friends, is the lesson for today. happy weekend!
